A house considered by the municipality of Maastricht as a building of significant cultural and architectural value, the design had to conscientiously respect existing elements, while creating functional and modern spaces for the kitchen and bathrooms. With custom made interior elements, comprising a back-and-forth play of black and white materials, spaces with a clear contemporary identity emerged whilst remaining congruent with the existing building.
