This house is surrounded by forest; the client wanted the feel of nature and light to stay inclusive not only while looking through the outside windows but also while being in the house.
The architectural plan consists of three rectangular elements strung together by a collection of functions, which reflect an individual character and are centered around a glass patio, that vertically pierces through the house. As a result, light enters and the external environment remains tangible at the lowest level.
Openness vs closedness and private vs public are important concepts in this assignment and also a distinct request of the clients to play with this flexibility of zoning within the house, establishing a visual and physical relationship with the exterior.
