The house was originally built in the late 18th century and located in the historic city center of Maastricht.
The client really wanted the authentic elements of the house to be preserved and treated with care to maintain their condition. At the same time, the house needed to be up to date with all modern-day living standards and generate a fresh look and feel.
To enhance the aged aspects, there great attention to detail was paid resulting in a minimalistic design. This allows for unique interplay between the old and new details, fusing them as one cohesive unit.
